Visiting from USA - stopped in for a cut and color - the staff was so welcoming and kind - Tony, Carnelina and Massimo all assisted and my hair has never looked better! Will return next time I’m in Menton! Many thanks to the kind staff at Jean-Claude Biguine!!!

In short: expensive, not what i asked for, charged for extras without asking me did i want them, pressure to buy products. I did not get an itemised receipt so I dont know how the price came to be. But it was €170 for a balayage and cut. That wasnt what I was expecting based on their price list. The secretary told me i was charged for things like masks which I never asked for and wasnt aware they had done as they never told me. Apparently they charge to blowdry too. If that’s an extra charge there needs to be an option to remove it. The balayage seemed very rushed. I think it took about 25 minutes. The tech was quite rough and my head hurt. The reference pictures i brought were cool toned and the manager noticed it was very orange during the wash. The tech said in French that asked for “miel” which was not true, a total lie. I believe they thought I couldn’t understand them because we spoke English for the duration of the treatment. At the beginning of drying I showed my reference pics to a different tech and it was clear to all how far off it was. They had to work on it again. It came out better but I would say neutral and not cool. There was a lot of pressure to buy products. The first lady tried to convince me to do a special treatment for like 5 minutes. The other poured serum into my hand mid blowdry (I was charged for this and was not told it was not complimentary) and I dont know what i was supposed to do with it since my hair was not done but she tried to sell it and then they really hammered in that I needed this one shampoo that i caved on because i wanted it to be over. I wouldnt mind the mistakes if i was paying low prices. But i came to a more expensive salon hoping for perfection. I dont want to start late if I show up on time. Normally back home if a salon messes up they try and make it right by maybe dropping the price or giving you a sample or something but instead I got charged extra. They also made sure to tell me I wasn’t charged extra for the correction as if that was a kindness. Edit: I have not made a mistake. My initial review written apx a year ago was reported and taken down. I only noticed it recently and I reposted it. I had such a bad experience it has bothered me enough to make me want to republish this review.

After not having had a hair cut for nearly two years due to the covid restrictions, I took a deep breath and entered this beautiful salon. Immedialtely I felt the warm welcoming of the staff. I was taken care of by Massimo in the most professional way. I could just sit back and relax as he gently transformed my hair. Thank you ever so much!

My hair is not that easy to deal with. But no problem for the professionals here. Beside being very competent they are very friendly, attentive and helpful. Always so happy with the result. The head massage should be mentioned as well because it's unmatched. I come here since about 5 years when I visit the region and I'm always looking forward to !!!

This is the place for scamming people. I intended just to make little correction of the fringe and base layer, but they offered many additional services and finally threw me out of the venue because i refused to accept. Then the employee was following me at the street pushing on me to accept their silly services. Completely no knowledge how to treat the customers and big big ego.

The biguine in monaco is a disaster!! Beware. They damaged my hair and many other peoples. They should be closed down forever. Federico and fabrizo (the workers there) are both a DISGRACE!!!! And they are definitely not hair dressers. They know nothing about hair. They’re just random people that are liars.
