Anaïs Salon is my favorite place to go for a haircut in Paris. The price is really good, and you get a really well done haircut. Also, Anaïs is super nice and sweet!

Anais’s a sweet girl (which is why I gave her an extra star), so I hate to leave this kind of review, but I hope to save someone else the extreme disappointment that I experienced during my visit on Christmas Eve 2018. To put it bluntly, she gave me the worst haircut of my life. When I walked in, I had long, fine hair past the middle of my back and I knew 6 inches were coming off. I did NOT know she would simply comb it all to the back and cut straight across. That’s it. No layers. No tapering. Just a blunt cut that took only a couple of minutes. She spent more time massaging my head (which I didn’t need) than she did on the cut. Any amateur could have given me this cut. I’m fairly certain she has received little to no training on hair cuts. I’m so very disappointed. I’ve had my hair professionally cut for over 20 years and no one has ever cut it like this. This was a very disappointing experience to say the least. Also, the salon has no atmosphere (how about a bit of background music?) she speaks very little English (understandable) but I felt confident with the hand gestures and photos I showed her that she understood. To top it off, after my wash she asked if I wanted conditioner, had I known then it would cost an additional 8 euro, I would have said no. Save yourself the great disappointment. I can’t believe this happened to me in Paris of all places! Sadly, I have to highly recommend going someplace else.
